Coal Country Outfitters was started with one simple goal in mind...to put birds at your feet, and that is exactly what we do. Your experience is our top priority, and we want you to go home with something to talk about! You will quickly find out that our work ethic is unparalleled. Many miles on the trucks scouting and massive decoy spreads are the norm. We DO NOT cut corners. We strive to provide hunts filled with a lot of laughs and a pile of birds!
Bio: I cut my teeth hunting waterfowl in the many potholes of North Dakota. Later in life, I started guiding snow goose hunts in South Dakota and Arkansas. One thing led to another and my passion took me to Saint Paul Island, Alaska. There I guided King Eider hunts along with other trophy sea ducks. With valuable experience under my belt, I started Coal Country Outfitters.
Favorite hunting situation: Late-season geese in snow storms
Bio: I was fortunate enough to grow up hunting the same areas we hunt to this day, and have built many long lasting relationships with farmers along the way! After 15+ years of waterfowl experience in North Dakota, my drive and passion for chasing birds continues to grow. I do it all, from puddle ducks to giant wads of snow geese, and you'd be hard pressed to find me without a smile anytime i'm in the field.
Favorite hunting situation: Flooded wheat fields
Bio: I started chasing birds across the prairie at just four years of age. What started as a weekend activity, turned into an addiction. I am a scouting fool and love the preparation for the hunt as much as the hunt itself. My greatest joy is being able to share my knowledge and help others to be successful.
Favorite hunting situation: Corn field mallards
